I'm Shane and actually I do love office supplies, sadly enough. I hate mayonnaise. I'm a grad student at Mercer. I'm a cat person, but I can bark in a very realistic manner. I design gaming worlds and systems in my spare time. I can juggle. I like blue. I have stood on the roof of a monastery overlooking France. I was at the Oscar after party with Peter Jackson and all when the LOTR won everything.
I am currently out of Malibu Rum. I killed my bar fridge with an axe. I SCUBA dive. I am not able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, although I can often step over a medium fence. I have loved and lost, climbed trees because they were there and had water fights in February.
I can find the constellation Delphiniums but not the Big Dipper. I have a walrus named Paul and an alligator in my luggage. I've made a bobcat purr and roll over by rubbing my head on a fence and purring first. I have seen both sides of the Atlantic ocean. I have been to LA and New York in one year, and still have not seen the Pacific. I have been called up out of the blue and asked how the meter for Iambic pentameter goes, and answered the question. I am good at packing the trunks of cars.
I have driven to Atlanta for coffee. I have driven to Panama City for no reason. I have walked across the top of a waterfall. I don't like coffee. I can prove two equals 1.9 repeating. I can do calculus in my head, but I can't spell the word permanent correctly without help. I have a rubber ducky with a cutlass. I have one slinky on my desk and another in my suitcase, next to a map of Paris, because you never know. I have gone to class in my bedroom shoes.
I like to make everyone’s life a little more surreal. My eyes change color regularly. I sing French Christmas carols during the summer. I once made a hamburger larger than my own head. I have skipped class to buy a book when it was released - and I was the teacher. I helped convinced a guy he was dead. Space shuttles and wine tastings make me think of love. The last two sentences are connected.
I have chess boards from the Ukraine and Greece and candles from the Chec Republic. I know which direction the enemies' gate is. I have babysat a rabbit and invented a drink. I've gotten a crowd of businessmen and women to moo, without asking them to.
I know that you do not suck up jet fuel with a vacuum truck and that one smoke bomb can kill an ant-hill if properly placed. My resume lists my objective as "lucrative salary, world domination in three to five years." I have seen Count Casimir Pulaski in person, and taken a break from a canoeing trip to visit a castle. I've traveled through caves and ran up a mountain.
I have not yet learned to fly.
I have been on the stage of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival during a performance, singing a song. I know "The Museum Song" from Barnum and can sing it full speed. I have been the seventh caller. I have successfully screamed a connect tone for a modem. I helped get a large group of people to stand in a parking lot and jump to raise the gate. I have movies subtitled in Latin.
I've finally found the one that makes me want to learn to dance.
